Karen E Lee, MD, MPH, Harvard-trained Geriatrician and Primary Care Physician serving Scottsdale, Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, and surrounding areas.

Karen Eunjung Lee, M.D., M.P.H., started the violin at the age of four and was a laureate in the Sir Yehudi Menuhin International Competition in England and the Paganini International Competition in Italy, as well as a silver medalist in the Stulberg International String Competition. She received first place in the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts Competition, the National Federation of Music Clubs Competition, and the WAMSO Competition of the Minnesota Orchestra. At age 11, she was also the youngest winner of the YPSCA Competition of the MN Orchestra. She has appeared as soloist with orchestras around the world, including the Rhode Island Philharmonic, Minnesota Orchestra, City of London Sinfonia, and Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra. As a recitalist, she has played in Jordan Hall and the Gardner Museum (Boston), as well as the Janet Wallace Auditorium. She was featured on WGBH (Boston), Minnesota Public Radio, (MPR), WQXR NYC's McGraw Hill's "Young Artist Showcase,"and performed in the National String Orchestra at Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center as a teenager. Dr. Lee was featured on the nationally syndicated TV show, CBS “Sunday Morning” in a feature entitled “Music and Medicine” and appeared in a Schubert Club program which featured speaker Dr. Timothy Johnson from ABC News. She also performed for a fund-raising event for former U.N. Ambassador Alan Keyes and Pres. George Bush, as well as for a fund raising concert at the John F. Kennedy Library in Boston which was attended by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. Dr. Lee received an Artist Diploma from the New England Conservatory and has studied with Dorothy Delay of the Juilliard School, Schmuel Ashkenasi of the Vermeer Quartet, Almita Vamos, Mary West, amongst others.
Dr. Lee received fellowship training in geriatric medicine at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston. Dr Lee also received a MPH from the Harvard School of Public Health and has produced patient education videos in conjunction with the Minnesota Department of Health. Dr. Lee was awarded the Aegis Video and Film Production Award, the video industry's premier competition for peer recognition of outstanding video productions and non-network TV commercials, for her work in underserved populations. She is also the graphic/web designer for ourladyllife.org, a Catholic missionary organization.
Dr Lee was a front-line COVID primary care physician who successfully treated hundreds of acute COVID cases throughout the state of Arizona and is a member of Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS). She is also a medical examiner for U.S. Veterans Compensation and Pension Department and a U.S. Civil Surgeon.
Dr. Lee is the medical director of Phoenix Family and Geriatric Medicine which serves Scottsdale, Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, and surrounding areas.
